The Apple Doesn't Fall Far From The Tree~It's Just Messier!

I know this post will probably bore some people who come here to see pretty decorating but I thought I would show you what my boys were up to. They are building a fire pit to sit around! Okay yes we are diffently rednecks! And might I add very proud of it. They found this gate on the back part of our property and the fence posts and built an entrance to their firepit. Too funny right. I guess I've rubbed off on them, it just is a little dirtier than my kind of decorating LOL. By the way Dylan said he isn't done with the fence yet he still has some designing to do to it ! Look at those jeans I have to wash.
The fence that you see in the background is a strawberry farm that has been there for ever and they just sold their property to our town, I am so sad to see it go! They had the best strawberries I have ever had!

The proud builders and their first fire in the fire pit. Maybe I will surprise them tomorrow while they are at school and pretty it up while they aren't home. I was thinking some twinkling lights and oooh I have a pink umbrella, do you think they would like that. Uhhh maybe not , it would probably all become firewood! Hugs~Kelly

Wow, I just read the above comments...Are they are person or what?

Anyway, I tried to implement your suggestions re: decorating. You can see the results on my blog. I am not through, but it looks better, I think.

I was looking at the small pictures of your home. I clicked on them, hoping I could get a larger image. I love the way you decorate.

How do you get your plates lined up just right on the wall without making tons of holes, trying to get it right?

I love your decorating!

I'm sure there will be many great memories of that firepit when they are grown men! That's great that you let them do that.
