Lil Bit of This & That

Did ya miss me?? My comp has been giving me a fit!! So I''m back for today anyways. I wanted to show you my little cabinet I''ve been playing with on my back porch, I was visiting Heather Bullards blog and she had posted about a desk that she put on her porch for beverages, I had planned on doing the same with this but she got me inspired to finish it. I picked this desk up for nothing and I put some lemonade and fresh tea out for anyone who would like to come by and sit and chat, LOL. Oh and by the way I don''t know if I ever posted any pic''s of my table and chairs I bought at Goodwill but they came with the leopard print on the seats, I just spray painted them pink.
In one of the drawers I set one of my pretty bowls filled with sugar for your tea.......I had fun can ya tell.

Next I picked this pretty (uhoh I can't remember what it's called) tapestry?? I am not sure why I forget the name of things when I start typing, oh well, I loved the lavender background with the white roses.

I also found this clock with the same tapestry? I plan on changing the frame but I''m not sure yet what I will be putting it in but I pictured some type of antique frame, don''t ya think it will be pretty, I have never seen one made into a clock before! I bought both of these at Salvation Army.

Someone had requested a close up of my red polk a dot dishes that I posted about last time so here they are (; Have a great week and stay tuned for my surprise on May 1st, I''m sooooo excited I can hardly contain myself!
Hugs~Kelly

Oh my those are gorgeous items. I've been taken by the crossstitch tapestries lately. Especially the roses. I take some of them and tea dye them for a more aged look. I love your cabinet too.

Good to see ya back!!

I kicked myself all last week for not coming along with Dave. I would have loved to have played with you fixing up your darling outdoor space. Instead I worked in my flowerbeds and garage and on a pile of old photographs.
So maybe someday soon I will just come riding my yellow bike down your lane. Would you have the tea ready...possibly and ambulance too.
I'm not in the best of shape.lol

Love the desk on the porch. I'd be afraid of the sugar bowl here though.....I'm being attacked by ants this week. Looks lovely though.

Ok, just a question here. Did I read somewhere that you would come decorate some lucky ladies house if they got rid of their husband and boys? Just Kidding. I love all my boys. I would not trade them for anything. Well...wait a minute here...yeah, no I couldn't. But it would be nice. I love your pictures and house. I am so jealous. My husband and boys would have that all full of mud in no time at all. Not to mention I would have to sneak the items in one by one and place them here and there and start slow so it would not be such a shock for the boys. The girls would love it. Great post. AGAIN!

Ooh! Where did you get those red and white dishes, hon? I love them. And as for the clock tapestry, in my personal opinion it needs a wooden frame of some sort. I just adore your blog. How many times have I already said that... Oh, and I like the porch additions.

Great idea the desk thing. However, I think it would look dumb on my porch. I love how it looks on yours. I do have a desk that I could use, but I don't think it would work.

I want a porch like yours! Out here in Colorado things would get blown away, wet in the driving rain, or broken by the hail! Your tapestry finds are needlepoint, each stitch is pulled up and then down in the next hole in the canvas. I am lucky enough to have some of my aunt's and grandmother's work at home. I've also done the stitching. Very time intensive!
