Just a Little Nesting!

I wanted to show you what I think will be my table setting for our Easter dinner, I saw this idea somewhere, sorry I can't remember where but I used a 14"wreath under my china and it looks like a birds nest to me, I thought it was cute and wanted to share it with you.
I also loved my yellow daisy's in my window, it's hard to get a good pic looking towards so much light so I hope you can see it good enough, it's simple but that's what I have been in the mood for, probably because it feels like Summer here in FL. Simple and less cluttered (believe it or not I took down most of my Easter stuff, it just felt like too much??)

Another view of my pretty yellow flowers in my living rm. See the tv cabinet, I had it down in the bunkhouse and decided I was tired of looking at my flat screen tv so I had the boys bring it back up to the house, now do I paint or not paint it, what do you all think?? I hope everyone is having a good week, talk soon.
Hugs~Kelly

I like the contrast of the natural wood. I love your room!! I need to tone down all my knick-knacks, too. I have the awful disease where I see an empty space and feel the need to fill it up. I am trying to get over it, though. Really... who wants to spend all day dusting all the little doodads? I really like the nest idea. If on;y my kids would not peel the twigs... :)

If I could start all over on buying furniture when I got married...my goodness...I would want to buy pretties like yours. I love your home. It is very comfortable, pretty and family looking, with so much dainty-ness.

Hi Kelly:
I would be the last person to give you ideas on decorating...your home is so beautiful. I think the armoire looks good like it is, but I bet it would look nice painted too. I have one in the bedroom that is natural that I would love to paint but I am afraid I would mess it up.
Your yellow flowers are pretty.

That Easter setting idea is so cute! I am biased toward painted wood, so I vote white or another soft color that would go well in your space.

I LOVE the wreat idea on the table! That just feels so springy! It's so funny that you mentioned you took down your easter decorations because I'm wanting to do the same thing. I'll have to remember next year not to put them out so early!!!

I think the cabinet looks great unpainted...I don't usually say that. Either way would look nice though.

I meant "wreath" not wreat!

I would leave it and not paint it personally. I think the wood is a beautiful contrast to all the light colors you have in the room. It looks right at home and stands out at the same time. Does that make sense?! lol

I think the armoire would look great painted. The 'nest' chargers look great as well, what a neat idea.

Hi Kelly, wow that nest / wreath idea is fabulous!! I adore it!! and your home looks so spring/summer ready!! I love that cabinet too! hmmmm, that's a hard one to decide. Your home is so beautiful all filled with painted pieces! So part of me wants to say PAINT :)) then another part of me loves wood tones mixed with painted pieces too!:) I'm afraid I am of no help today. But if I had to choose, I's say paint :) Only because you do such a FABULOUS job at it kiddo! and it's fun too :)

I vote to leave the armoire in its current state, as well. If you later want some "light" touches, hang a wreath with tons of baby's breathe on the front of the doors. (Hang it with nylon thread draped over and suspended from a small nail tacked to the inside of one of the doors.)
