My New Project

Hi everyone, this is my new project, I purchased this hutch last week and I wanted you to see the before pic of it and the pic below is how I am visioning the way I want it to look, a robins egg blue for the base and cottage white for the back of it, wish me luck, I'm also going to order some appliques to put on each of the doors. Can't you just picture my rose dishes and pitchers and maybe some rose paintings leaning up on the top of it, I am so excited, can't wait to get started so that's all for now, I have to get my painting clothes on and get busy!! Hugs~Kelly
P.S. I am going to put this in my living rm not in my dining rm, just in case anyone was wondering (:

That is a great hutch and will look amazing with the new paint. A big project but one that will be SO WORTH IT! I'm having a hard time getting to painting my teacup cabinet my Mom found for me at a thrift store. Maybe I can get hubby to do it. lol.

I just found your blog and went back and read your older blogs...love your beautiful home and your camper. Do you use it for camping, or is it stationary?
It's so cute.
I will be back to see you soon.

Kelly,
It is going to be beautiful! I put a coat of primer on the china cabinet that I bought and posted about a few posts ago...but that is as far as I got. I've been so busy at work! You have motivated me though! Today I don't go in to work until 5:00 so I think I will try to get it finished! I can't wait to get my dishes in it. I'm also not ptting mine in the dining room. I have to put it in my den. (That is the only place left! I already have a china cabinet in my dining room and one in my living room!) I know...I'm addicted to collecting dishes! My daughter laughed at me when she came over the other day and saw another hutch. I told her "Oh well, It's my house and I can put one in the bathroom if I want too!" She just rolled her eyes at me!
Thanks for inspiring me to finish mine today!!
Hugs,
Lee Laurie

You were very clever to see the possibilities in the hutch. It is something I wouldn't have even considered. It looks so dark and unlovely in that original stain. Much more graceful in a lighter color and the detail really shows up well.

I think my mom has that same exact hutch! Is it an Ethan Allen?
