Finally Working On My Dining Room Chairs!

Oops, I put my pictures in backwards , oh well. I finally covered my chairs, I was worried about doing this because the seat cushions were not removable so I was afraid I would mess them up, but I think they turned out pretty good, I used pillow cases for the fabric. I still have to put trim around the edges but other than that they are done. WOOHOO! Please don't mind the skeleton in the background I have boys and they love him, I didn't realize I got him in the pic till right now. Enjoy your weekend!

  8. Kelly,
Your chairs look beautiful. I love the idea of using pillow cases. I bought some pretty (cheap)sheets the other day to make seat covers with. They match some dishes that I have perfectly. They have roses on them, of course.

  9. Kelly,
You did a great job on the chairs, that fabric is just perfect. I love the design of the chairs, so elegant and oh-so shabby chic! Are you going to trim them in gimp? I love recovering dining chairs. I somehow find it to satisfying (wierd, huh?). I love that the skeleton got in the picture...what would we do without our children? Have a wonderful weekend.

  17. Kelly,
I went back and looked at some of your older posts and I love your camper! It is so pretty! I'm jealous! I have a storage shed out in my backyard and boy do I have plans for it now! I'm gonna empty it out and put tounge and groove paneling up and paint it pale pink. I want to make me a studio in there. I have an old antique dining room table and chairs that was passed down to me from my great aunt. I'm gonna paint it white and cover the cushions like you did. I'm so excited! You have really inspired me! I guess I will have to take turns working on my cottage and my studio. Like I don't have enough to do already! Oh, I went back and looked and you and I do look alike. Isn't that something? Also my son,Cole favors one of your sons. Isn't that neat? You will have to show your son. Maybe we are related and just don't know it.LOL!! Your blog and home is beautiful.

    Hugs,
    Lee Laurie

P.S. Thats also neat about your dad's name being similar to mine. I was a month early and I weighed 5 pounds.Mom named me after her friend in high school. When I was in high school,I had a good friend named Laura Lee. LOL

  19. That was too funny when you put in your comment about me thinking you were nuts! LOL. I say that all of the time. I wish that we lived by each other. We have a lot in common and we would have so much fun! We would probably stay in trouble with thrift stores and yard sales.I have a feeling that we would be like Lucy and Ethel!!!

P.S.I saw where you love to shop and decorate. My friends all call me Miss.Shopper. They say that I could have that as a career! LOL

love your blog, I'm gonna come back later with a beer and read back...
