I sure wish you all were here to help me decide where to put my tree, I don't have enough room, LOL, I want it in my living rm but since I moved my living rm to my dining rm I don't have enough space for my tree, I did this to make more rm for Thanksgiving dining and I really like it this way but where to put the tree! Do you think you could stop by and help me, pleeeese? I just keep standing in the middle of the rms thinking hmmmm what do I do now, move it all back the other way??
Hugs~Kelly
I would much rather be at your house re-arranging...it's always fun working together...I love what you've done so far...me? I'm still cleaning! Maybe this weekend, I'll dig out the boxes...have fun without me!

I like the rearrangement, too! What if you move the club chair out of the living room temporarily, and put the tree in that spot - near the fire place but not too close. Just a suggestion - can't wait to see the result!
ReplyDeleteLove, Love, Love what you've done so far! Pam had a good idea about the tree placement, from what I can see...Oh, and I've been meaning to tell you...your antique china platter in the hutch behind the cloche...I think that's the pattern my great-grandmother had, and I am blessed to own now...I love how you're displaying yours.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh... Your home makes my heart melt. It is just ever so charming. I love it.....
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly,
ReplyDeleteI was going to suggest what Pam suggested too. That arrangement is similar to what I do in my family room. I remove a single chair by the windows (moving it to the dining room corner) and fireplace to make room for our tree. Then when you look at the fireplace you see the tree too. Your home is so lovely and I enjoyed the tour. By the way for posting on my blog I do the same as you - I add the my photo first then the text. I haven't tried reversing it yet. But I just started my blog in Nov.

Your home is so beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see where you put your tree! Wish I could help, but I am not usre either!
Good luck!
I think Pams idea is a great one and so does everyone else...your dinning rm and living rm are open to each other so if you did put in in the dinning rm you could still enjoy it from the living rm. Or maybe right behind your sofa.
ReplyDeleteYour house will be beautiful no matter where you place your tree.
Merry Christmas,
Melissa
I have to agree with Pam's idea also but please post the picture once you have decided.
ReplyDeleteGood luck,
Sylvia
I'll be right there.....wish I could, oh we would be so much trouble together.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
LeAnn:)
Pretty displays!
ReplyDeleteYou and I both don't have room! lol I put mine in front of my french doors to our back yard. It's still in the living room but the kids will have to go thru the front door if they want to go play out back. :D
Have a wonderful day.
Sandra
I'll be right over ...kinda like the pictures without text ...they kinda' tell the story
ReplyDeleteI always have the same problem when I put up a tree. Small house and lots of furniture = something's gotta give before the tree will fit. Usually it's an upholstered chair I move to the garage for a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, don't forget to show us when you get it figured out because I'm sure it will be gorgeous. :)
Have you tried Windows Live Writer? It is soooooo easy to write posts in it because you can create your post in the order you want it to appear on your blog. You can write a little, add a pic or two, write a little more, add more pics, move them around if you need to, resize them, add frames, watermarks etc. You can also see a preview of exactly how your post will appear before you publish and if it's not to your liking, it's easy to make changes. I found WLW to be so much more flexible than Blogger.
I was thinking near the fireplace, too. Maybe the club chair can hang out in your dining room awhile. :)
ReplyDeletehi kelly!
ReplyDeletemy tree turns my living room into a tight maze but somehow we manage so i'm sure wherever you place your tree, it will work out.
everything looks so pretty and kellyfied!
xo
How pretty everthing looks! I had to rearrange my room too and I decided thats the fun of it.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you will find just the right spot for it, you just seem to have the knack. You have such a lovely home!
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me what color blue that hutch is. Is it a pastel blue? It looks very light.
I have a monster hutch that my hubby said I could paint and I can't decide between white or blue. Is the hutch all blue or does it have white in the back of the cupboards? (I can't tell)
Love your room. I especially love all the white, and your little village of vintage cottages on the shelf! Adorable! I'm sure you'll find the perfect spot for your tree. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
The tree is beautiful!! Haven't gotten our real one yet and am still knee deep and yard long in Christmas boxes!
ReplyDeleteHopefully you will find just the right spot!
Your home is beautiful and yes, it would be fun to work together! I recommend placing the tree near the fireplace also. Perhaps you can move the chair for extra seating or just into one of your bedrooms if you lack space in the LR or DR.
ReplyDeleteWell, Kelly it is hard to really know unless I am standing right there in the room with you. I find myself sometimes in the middle of the summer looking around my room and wondering where I should put the Christmas tree this coming holiday! Isn't that weird?? In this house I always end up putting it back in front of the huge front window.....I have faith that you will make the right decision.~Hugs,Patti
ReplyDeleteI thought it looked quite good where it is in the photo!!! But then I am quite lazy - lol Rachaelxo
ReplyDeleteSure I'll stop by hee hee! Really lovely place dear. So serene. Take care and blessed days.

Your living room is just gorgeous and dreamy!!! The tree can stay right were it is:-)
ReplyDeleteI love your home in every season!!! It looks wonderful. It's funny that removing the chair by the fireplace seems to be what a lot of us do. I love looking at the tree right next to the fire.
