My Other Kitchen Island

Well you all know that I can't leave anything in the same place for long and I don't think I have ever showed you my kitchen with the dresser island in it?? I love the dresser in here cause as you can see it is a small kitchen and I can store my cookware in the drawers so it works great for extra storage. I have it angled here so you can see it better, it's usually straight. I painted it a light pink and added the rose appliques, I want to get some towel bars to add to the side and back if it to hang some pretty dishtowels on, as a matter of fact I found some the other day at Marshall's but the registers went down and I couldn't buy them so I'll have to go back and get them. You can see I put up my red checked curtains for Summer, I thought they looked cute but I don't know how long they will last, LOL! I hope everyone has a great weekend (;

Kelly,
I love it! I like it better than the table too. Mostly because it is more functional with the drawers for storage. Also it looks taller and is easier to use. I wish than I had room for an island because I love this idea.

I have to move stuff around too, or I get bored. I love this. I've had my old sewing machine table as my kitchen island for a few months. But have been kind of itching to find something else. So I'm "shopping the house." Wish I had something that perfect.

I love the curtains because you have other touches of red in there and they look really really cute.

Have a great weekend.

Kelly, I love the dresser in the kitchen. I have a sideboard that I use as my island. The table/chairs I use upstairs in my craftroom as a sewing table/puzzles/craft projects. I love your home - no matter what you do it looks awesome.

I love that dresser. It looks great there. I have an old buffet painted white in my kitchen for the same purpose. It gives me extra counter space and storage. Much cheaper than additional cabinets and I like the looks better too.
